| In times when nothing else has worked, prayer seems to cut through the barriers and allow me to deal with life…on life's terms. Here are a few that made the difference |
| Dedication Lord, I humbly dedicate myself to Thee today in body, mind, spirit, and deed to carry out your will for me and I give myself freely unto you to do as you wish. I do this in love and in gratitude for the many gifts you have given me. I as k that you please accept my humble gift to you. Amen. Our Enemies Dear God, Lead us all from prejudice to truth; Deliver us from hatred, cruelty and revenge; And enable us to stand reconciled before you in your love. Amen . For the Poor and Neglected Dear God we ask you be merciful toward those less fortunate than us; The homeless, the destitute, the old, the sick and the unwanted of your flock. Grant us the resources to care for and to minister to those in need. Help us to heal those who are broken in body, mind and spirit. Allow us to use your strength to turn their sorrow into joy; In your name we pray. Amen. Sharing the Bounty Lord, we rejoice in the many gifts that you have bestowed upon us; and in your Grace you have allowed us to prosper in body, mind and soul. Grant us the wisdom to use these gifts to honor you with the sharing of them and ourselves; May we be worthy stewards of your dominion. Amen. For Families Lord, we commend to you the care of the Loved one in our lives and the homes in which we dwell. Watch over us and keep from us the bitterness, vanity, and pride of the material world. Fill our home and our hearts with faith, virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, and love for one another. Make us of one heart and one Spirit. Show us how to live our lives with each other according to your will. Amen. For the Aged Our Father, we ask of you to be with our brothers, sisters, parents, family, and friends as they enter into the twilight years of their lives that bring upon them weakness of body, mind and spirit. Where there is distress, fear, and isolation; provide for them homes of dignity, peace, love, and understanding. May those that you have charged with their care, be filled with compassion, and love. In your love and grace may those who are fading from this life to the next know your strength and Glory. Amen. For Those Absent We humbly ask of you Father to watch over those we are apart from and bless our loved ones with your protection and grace, keeping them from harm. In your name we pray, Amen. For Those in Crisis O Merciful Father we ask that you take unto you the plight of our dear (friend brother, sister, father, mother, family member) and help them to endure the sorrow, grief and affliction in their life now. We ask that you grant them the grace and strength to continue. Nourish them and lift them up with your strength. In your name we pray,Amen. Guidance May we honor you with the stewardship of the many gifts you have bestowed upon us and we ask that you in your love and grace guide us toward your will in our daily lives. In your Love we pray, Amen. Guidance Dear Lord, we pray for wisdom where there is uncertainty, Faith where there is doubt, hope where there is sorrow, resolve where there is fear, and understanding where there is confusion. We ask that you guide us in making choices that are as you would have us do. If we shall stumble and fall, Lord, lift us up and set us back upon the path again.
