The Wheel of the Year
	As Wiccans and Witches, we have eight major holidays called sabbats. The dates of some of the sabbats change yearly, and most go by more than one name. SAMHAIN This is marks the beginning of the Witches Year. Commonly known as Halloween. YULE This is the celebration of the winter solstice.  It is off of this holiday that the Christains based most of their Christmas traditions. CANDLEMAS This sabbat celebrates the return of the sun and light. OSTARA The celebration of the Vernal Equinox. BELTANE May Day Witches Style. MIDSUMMER The celebration of the Summer solstice. LAMMAS The First of the Harvests. MABON The Second of the Harvests.
