PURPOSE:
   While playing Star Trek the RPG (in it's various forms) my players and I became frustrated at the lack of detailed information on the economy of the Federation.  We understood that money was no longer essential for survival but we didn't understand what had replaced it.  After lots of research, and several long discussions with Mike-The-Great, I came to the following conclusions.  These ideas seem to work rather well and allowed me to calculate a "cost" for most items seen in the show.
    This list should cover all the personal equipment listed in the Official Star Trek reference books, all of LUG RPG books, and all the issues of Star Trek: The Magazine.  All information is applicable to the "Next Generation" (and DS9/VOY) eras.  This website describes the Economies of the Alpha/Beta Quadrants from 2360-2380.  Since Canon is a some what "tricky" issue I've tried to color code all my information.
