John 10:10b
Some people, even some Christians, have been convinced that living a Christian life is a drag. They may think it’s all about a bunch of rules. Maybe they think they can’t be a Christian and do all the things they consider fun. Maybe they’ve known too many professing Christians who are not walking in the joy of the Spirit. Whatever their reason for believing this, they have been deceived by the devil. Satan is the father of lies, and he tries to sell the idea that following him is fun and following Christ is boring. Quite the opposite is true. Satan comes only to steal, kill and destroy. Jesus, on the other hand comes to save us and give us abundant life!
He (the devil) was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. John 8:44b
I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.
John 10:9-10a
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. Galations 5:22-23
