God's Wisdom
Some people get tripped up, because they try to understand God before they will choose to put their faith in Him.  This is a trick of the devil, because he knows that God can not be explained by human wisdom.

God, as the Creator of man, is the one who gave us our inquisitive minds, and our thirst for knowledge and truth.  He comprehends more than anyone that we are driven to explore, search and understand everything around us.  However, He doesn't want this to be a stumbling block to believing in Him.

God is beyond our comprehension:
"The everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary.  His understanding is unsearchable." Isaiah 40:28 Our mortal minds cannot wrap themselves around the truth of who God is and how much He loves us.  If we could understand and explain God, would He even be worthy of our worship?  God is just God!  And for His purposes, He saw fit to create man and wishes us to worship Him and accept His Son's sacrifice to cover our sins so that we can continue worshipping Him for the rest of eternity..

We don't need to understand God to put our trust in Him:
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding" Proverbs 3:5   In fact, God wants us to come to Him with simple unquestioning faith similar to the faith a child has in it's earthly father:

"Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it." Mark 10:15

"Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, and said, 'Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.'" Matthew 18:2-4

It is actually by placing our trust in the Lord and deciding to follow Him that we begin to build real wisdom and understanding:

"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all those who do His commandments." Psalm 111:10

His Word, the Bible, can provide all the understanding we need to live a successful life:

"
The entrance of Your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple." Psalm 119:130

The bottom line is, our wisdom does not compare to God's.  We must humble ourselves and realize that, then seek after God's wisdom:

"Let no one deceive himself.  If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, 'He catches the wise in their own craftiness'; and again, 'The LORD knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile.'" 1 Corinthians 3:18-20
