Dining When dining in Williamsburg, check out some of the Webmaster's favorites. Paul's Delly Restraurant and Pizza, 761 Scotland Street (Across from the football stadium) Manhattan Bagels, Richmond Road. Peking Mongolian BBQ, Kmart Shopping Center, Bypass Road. Pierce's Pitt Barbecue, Rochambeau Rd- Carolina Barbeque...Tour-ons notwithstanding, this place has the best barbecue anywhere. La Tolteca, 5611 Richmond Road- Great Mexican food and Margarittas Sal's Piccolo Forno Italian, Capitol Landing Road and Park Drive- Ask for the Calzone not on the menu. Cities Grille, Five Forks at Route 5 and Ironbound Road- Excellent Dinning Nawab Indian, Monticello Ave- Indian food is not the webmaster's favorite, but Leslie and Sue, et. al. think this place is great. Our other favorite restaurants are in the Shockhoe Slip section of Richmond and the Ghent and downtown sections of Norfolk. |
Recreation Some activities available in the Windsor Forest area: Busch Gardens Colonial Williamsburg Water Country Yorktown Kings Dominion (1Hr) Jamestown Colonial Downs (20min) Virginia Beach (1Hr) Additionally, James City and the city of Williamsburg boasts some of the best parks and recreation facilities in the commonwealth. Soccer Fields, Softball and Baseball Fields, Playgrounds, Indoor and Outdoor Swimming, and Recreation Complexes to name a few. Located within one mile of Windsor Forest is the James City Recreation Center which houses an indoor aquatic center, racquet ball courts, basketball courts, volleyball, weight room, and community meeting rooms.
