A great many people I know quantify how well they want to know a new person
by how much their book collection outpaces the available shelf-space in their home.

While I will accept people with adequate shelving as friends, I myself am rapidly
running out of living space. But the books are good company, they don't eat much,
and they're quieter than pets.

The library of children's books
Where I keep the classics, and the not-so-classic stories that helped
build my personality, though some of them exist only in fond memory.

The library of pre-teen and teen books
The books I turned to later in childhood and as a developing teen
when I needed to find quiet or myself.

quill and inkMy page explaing the various time-lines employed in
Madeleine L'Engle's Kairos and Chronos books, written when I was somewhat
more conversant with them, though I can still quote large pieces of the scene in the
Murray kitchen when Mrs. Which, Mrs. Whatsit and Mrs. Who
first appear to explain tessering to the Murray children.
