Along with man-made havoc we also experience "natural disasters that many blasphemously label "acts of God."
Do you really believe that Almighty God who sent His precious, only begotten Son to die for us, is behind all this calamity befalling us? Unfortunately for many Christians the answer is yes.

Many people today teach that God is still judging mankind by the Law of the Old Testament. So, on that basis they extend the reasoning to say that when we fail God that He rains punishment down from heaven.

Here is the fallacy in that deceptive logic...
It completely excommunicates Jesus out of the equation. Any so-called bible teaching that takes Him out of the picture is not bible teaching at all.
If Jesus isn't central to our beliefs, then why do we call ourselves Christians? The very fact that we believe in Him means that He MUST be the focus of what we do and  say.

What significance does Jesus have in all of this?
Ask yourself, why did Jesus come into this world in the first place? What was the purpose of Him teaching, healing & dying on the cross? Jesus came to die for all mankind. To take the punishment for all our inquity & to give us life more abundantly.

Hebrews 9:11-15 But Christ came as high priest of the good things to come, with greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the 1st covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

Jesus is THE reflection of God.

John 14:9 Don't you know Me Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father also. How can you say, show us the Father?

What is having life to the fullest? Is it poverty, sickness, strife or loss? Living life to the fullest means success in every area of your life. Good health, wealth, good relationships, etc. Some Christians refuse to believe that it's that good, thinking that the Lord may have meant richness of spiritual life instead while suffering ills in every other aspect of their lives. If that was so, Jesus wouldn't have done the following:
healed the lepers, the blind, the demon possessed, etc., saved people from embarrasment as He turned the water into wine, saved people from death, thus the adulterous woman caught in the act of adultery, saved people from financial trouble by causing Peter to catch a full net of fish. saved people from natural disasters by rebuking the storm. and resurrecting the dead, Lazarus & Jairus' daughter.

God isn't schitzophrenic. He doesn't send Jesus to save you from your sins and bless you, then punish you for your sins and take away your blessings. As Jesus is the 1 atoning sacrifice forever, you must only expect nothing but good things and blessings from God. So, who's behind your problems? Satan is! To quote the earlier reference, the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. When God created Adam He gave him dominion over all the earth.
Genesis 1:28  God blessed them and said to them, be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground. Basically, Adam (the whole human race) had control over the whole earth, all weather, geography, & living creatures.

But when Adam sinned, satan took the powers of dominion from the human race.

Matthew 4:8-9 Again the devil took Him into a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. All this I will give you, he said, if you will bow down and worship me.

So what do I do now that I know Satan is the one behind all this natural disaster?  First up, apply faith to your own life.  Start with little things.  When you are able to have faith for little things, you will be able to have faith for bigger things.  All it took for Jesus to calm the storm was faith.  He didnt have to run out and grab something to hit the storm.  All He did was speak and it was done.

So when I have faith I can avert a natural disaster?  To answer that question, ask yourself : When a natural disaster occurs, does it visit ONE person or A LOT of people?  Obviously it visits more than one person since it covers a geographical area (not talking about desert areas or areas where hardly anyone lives).  You may be able to save yourself by faith from the devastation of the natural disaster but how do you save others who have no faith?

If there was a disaster such as a tornado visiting a christian town, and if all the christians in that town had faith in Jesus and spoke against the tornado, the tornado will go away.

That is what has been revealed to me.  I know this is only possible when a whole town is converted and has faith.  I'm not saying that it is impossible.  Just that where you and I live, is mostly among unbelievers so it would very likely be you having faith to save yourself & your own property while your neighbours suffer the brunt of the natural disaster.  Sad but this will bear you out to be a testimony for our Lord Jesus.
