I cannot praise the prodigious talent of Sway Slayer highly enough, nor can I easily single out any certain stories of hers for specific attention. If pressed I would have to say, don't miss "Life, Love and Other Catastrophes," "I Was Hoping," "Ordinary Day," "A Telephone Call," "Questions" and "Ask Me"... this selection should serve as a well balanced introduction to Sway's wide ranging talents and styles. To be perfectly honest, I am a complete and utter fan of her work... truly, she is an astoundingly gifted writer. She balances such a wide array of layers and nuance in her fics... moving fluidly from humour, steamy sexuality, angst, to the many vagaries, and sometimes even downright contradictary aspects of relationships and individual personalities that compromise the thoroughtly delightful package that is: The Chosen Two. And always her plotlines are moving, thoroughly engaging and, as noted before, layered in a way that I admire greatly. I've found that with each rereading of her work, I come away with something new each and every time. Do yourself a favour, if you're not already familiar, follow the link and treat yourself to some damn fine writing and thoroughly aquainting yourself with her work.

Miss Kitty is one of those of rare talents who can deftly balance a wide range of seemingly contrasting tones in her work. Her characters (and characterisations) are simply brilliant & so intelligently written; the banter is hot, sexy, often hilarious, multi-layered and the story arcs are thoroughly engaging. Reading her Fics is rather akin to taking a ride on the ultimate roller coaster, there are ups, downs, some angst, some celebrations, some light, some darkness and ALL of it a ride you'll not soon forget! Her "Slayers Do..." series is a bona fide masterpiece and I highly recommend it, along with the sequals of the, "Discord, Angel of Vengeance" series and "Love and Other Catastrophes." To note a few others: the "As the Set Turns" series is hysterically funny and again, highly recommended and "In the Pit Of My Heart" gives new meaning to "Darkfic"... it is one of the most intense pieces I've ever had the pleasure of reading. Her archive contains much more and all are well worth perusing! If you haven't read any of her stories, firstly: why not?!?! Secondly, it is high time that you rectify that... so off with you! "Virtue of a Warrior" by DreamSmith is a genuine Faith novel. Needless to say, it's a long read but it sweeps the reader up so thoroughly that you'll find the ending arrives far too soon. The story begins where "Who Are You" ended, only in this account, the emotionally shaken Slayer did not go to L.A... this path of redemption is entirely her own. DreamSmith's portrait of Faith is of a darkly complex, multi-faceted woman on an epic journey to discover her place in the world, and allowed to realise her full warrior potential along the way. It is a pivotal portion of a mythology that the author has been deftly crafting throughout several long- and short-form Fics.
