UNDERTAKER WINS 4TH WORLD TITLE

The Undertaker defeated Hulk Hogan last Sunday at JUDGEMENT DAY. This makes him a four time World champion and the second time he has beat Hogan for the title. 'Taker won his first World title against Hogan in 1991 at the SURVIVOR SERIES. Then it was due to the interference of Ric Flair. This time Vince McMahon interfered. The following night on RAW, Rob Van Dam did a "Jericho" job and appeared to win the title during his match against The Undertaker. You may remember when Chris Jericho did the same to Triple H a couple of years ago only to have the decision reversed. The same happened here and Taker ended up pinning RVD to retain the title.

Hulk Hogan "announced" his "retirement" on SMACKDOWN this past week only to that overturned by Vince McMahon. At least this retirement was made to be bogus right away instead of months or even weeks down the road. Any wrestler that "announces" his retirement is usually a crock of crap. In most cases wrestlers don't retire, they die. That may sound harsh but you have to admit that retired wrestlers usually return to the ring sometime down the road. So far the only ones to hold true to their decision are Mick Foley and Bret Hart but don't count them out yet, after all they are still alive.

Internet world is a buzz this past week with rumors that Bill Goldberg and the WWE are in talks. It has been reported that he took a buy out of his original Time Warner WCW contract and became a free agent a few weeks ago. From all angles it looks like a Goldberg WWE contract is highly likely.

The NWA recently tried to sign the Ultimate Warrior to a contract to appear on their shows. He first wanted part ownership as part of the deal and talks quickly came to a stop. Now the two parties are negotiating again but Warrior getting his first request is out of the question.

It's hard to believe it but this past May 23 was third anniversary of Owen Hart's death. A lot to be on the minds of the Hart family since they also lost an in-law last week. That being Davey Boy Smith.

Tommy Dreamer and his "Fear Factor" antics are apparently not new to the guy. It seems he used to do weird things like eating hair and dead fish back in the old ECW days to help cheer up the guys whenever they were feeling down and tired.

Mean Gene Okerland is back in the WWE and will be hosting the new show CONFIDENTIAL on Saturdays.

KING OF THE RING is June 23

NEW CHAMPS: Rikishi & Rico defeat Chuck & Billy to win the Tag Team titles at JUDGEMENT DAY.
Later that night on the same card The Undertaker defeats Hulk Hogan to win the World title.
