I watched a miracle today
right before my eyes
looking out my window
I saw to my surprise

Green leaves unfolding
my forsythia buds appeared
to actually watch them
seemed a little weird

I opened my door
and looked down to see
my daffodils budding
can this really be

My rose bushes alive
leaves all green and red
can this be a dream
only yesterday they were dead

My dismal mood changed
from blue to a cheerful bright
with all these miracles
radiantly in sight

So when you lose faith
and you think life is ending
just take a look around you
it's only the beginning
