Campus Crusade for Christ(CCC) is an organisation that had greatly influences me in my christian walk. I remember how I got to know them. I was minding my own business one day after school(was sec 4) when someone that is a CCC staff in Singapore Polytechnic(SP) approach me to want to share the gospel with me and my friend. So we told him to we are already christian, he was very happy and encourage us to join him for some bible study to know God better. So we went...
So slowly I join the SP CCC for more activities even when I'm not a student of the campus. Which of course brought me to my decision of which polytechnic to go to when I receive my 'O' level result.
A typical week of a crusader in polytechnic. There will be one day schedule for prayer meeting, one day I receive bible study, one day I teach bible study to my disciples, one day campus or street witnessing. So basically I get to be involve in CCC activites 4 days in a week, and that is not even considering times when we have big evangelistic project when almost everyday will be busy.
CCC is also where I started to pick up learning the guitar. I remember going to the club house almost everyday just to play the guitar(don't have guitar at home) and I will go to anyone who know how to play the instrument to teach me. It just happen that both the Bible Study leader I've got are very good guitarist. :)
This ministry have taught me many many things. CCC are so much into evangelism. Among all the christian club in SP, CCC does the most street witnessing and evangelistic event, more than double of the other two christian club adds together. I start to realise it's not so difficult to share christ and truly there are always someone who want to know God.
The brothers and sisters in CCC have truly help me to enjoy my polytechnic days, they have show me how beautiful friendship can be. They show me that a christian can have fun and be spiritual at the same time. They have shown me that christian are suppose to be creative, from the events and games of the camp to the backdrop of a event and also publicity stunt to woo people to watch evangelistic movies....
CCC taught me that God demands excellent and details. Everything was properly done as if in a business, down to the smallest details.
