BLANKENSHIP My dad, George Washington BLANKENSHIP, was born December 17, 1912 in Bland Co., VA. and died November 1, 1969 in Mercer Co., WV. He was the son of Frederick Daniel Bowman BLANKENSHIP and Oda Bell WRIGHT. He married (1) Agnes Loraine DILLON, August 16, 1939 in Giles Co., VA., daughter of Erie Hampton DILLON and Nora Vivian MILLS and (2) Audrey Mae Hubbard, November 12, 1952. He died of a heart attack. His favorite past time was playing the guitar. My Grandfather - Frederick BLANKENSHIP Frederick Daniel Bowman BLANKENSHIP was born June 15, 1881 in Bland Co., VA. and died August 23, 1961 in Pipestem, WV. He was the son of Berry BLANKENSHIP and Judith Ardelia DAY. He married Oda Bell WRIGHT December 7, 1907, daughter of Lee Johnson WRIGHT and Matilda Ellen RAMSEY. NOTES for Fred BLANKENSHIP: Fred is buried in the Mountain View Cemetery, Rt. 2, Bland,VA. NOTES for Oda WRIGHT Blankenship: Oda's quilts were featured on pages 118-123 of National Geographic Magazine, July 1972. Oda died Jan. 9, 1977 and is buried in Mount View Cemetery, Rt. 2, Bland.VA.
