| Frontman Mark "Marky" Chevez's band got a big jump start in the msuic scene due to him being half-brother of Korn's Jonathon Davis. Adema are a heavy metal band with a quickly growing reputation and are now becoming a bug part of today's ever growing nu-metal craze. Adema and Drowning Pool released thier first singles in summer 2001 and hit the Ozz-Fest tour during that time. Adema's "Giving In" and Drowning Pool's "Bodies" flew up the charts together as the tow were on the Ozzy's tour gaining a large mount of success. The labum "Adema" was released and it seemed Adema was unstoppable. Adema toured the Ozz-Fest with Marilyn Manson, Slipknot, Linkin Park, Papa Roach, Crazy Town, Disturbed, Mudvayne, Godhead, and Zakk Wylde were just some of the preformers. Adema, around Christmas 2001, released a new track called "The Way You Like It." Due to the success of "Giving In," "The Way You Like It" got much success. It was more successful in the U.S. But it still got them to a high place in the nu-metal industry. Adema gave away the clues thier new upcoming record in May 2001 when the track "Immortal" was chosen for the Mortal Combat video game. The song was from a 7 song EP "Insomniacs Dream." There is three unr-released tracks including a civer Alice In Chains "Shattered," and remixes of "The Way You Like It," and "Freaking Out," a live track from "Adema," "Do What You Want To Do," and "Giving In." Theere is also a tribute to Layne Staley, Dave Williams, and others. Adema also appeared on the soundtrack for Resident Evil with Slipknot, Coal Chamber, Marilyn Manson, Rammstien, Static-X, Mudvayne, Ill Nino, Method Man, and more. They were also were also on Now 9! with Ja Rule, Shakira, Incubus, Lenny Kravitz, Ludacris, Mr.Cheeks, Britany Spears, and more. In 2002 Adema hit the Ozz-Fest again. This time they were one of the headliners. They hit the main stage with big name metal bands like Ozzy, Zakk Wylde's Black Label Society, P.O.D., System Of A Down, and second stage tour mates from last year Drowning Pool. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
