Jersey are a four member punk band from Burlington, Ontario. The band is inspirations range from The Stones, The Police, and The Boss, to The Clash, Bad Religon, and Rancid.  The band's singer Greg Taylor is an ex-pro BMX rider, and ex-member of Canadian punk band Grade. Thier bassist Johnny Lubera was scouted by the NHL when he was a netminder for the Oshawa Generals, and Barrie Colts of the OHL. The group formed in 1996. Soon thier live show landed them gigs with The Offspring, NOFX, MxPx, Propagandhi, and  Less Then Jake,  across Canada, The States, and The UK. In 1997 thier debut album "No Turing Back" was released. In 1999 thier sophmore album "The Battle's Just Begun," was relased. In 2000 video-game fanatic Jordan Hastings became Jersey's third and current drummer. In 2001 the band relased thier first video "Halfway There" from thier "Definition EP." Two years later Jersey returned with thier third  full length album "Generation Genocide." Like almost all of Jersey's songs the album deals with real-life experiences, while still keeping Jersey's punk-rock anthemic sound. Songs like "Old Bones And Dirty Coffins" deals with how friendships can be betrayed, "This Town" deals with the dark underside of a peaceful surban town, and "Shop Floor" was written by Greg about his job at a steel plant, that he works at during breaks from touring, and recording. Jersey's second video "Generation Genoicde" got rotation on Muchmusic and is becoming a hit.
