Mudvayne's look will always evolve. It may have started off as the gorry bullet hole in head, watermelon like make-up etc Mudvayne have done what many bands like Slipknot. Slipknot in fact had a part in having Mudvayne signed to a record company. Shawn Crahan (#6/Clown) helped them get thier deal. Mudvayne started off in Peoria, Illinios in 1996. Thier first album came out in 2000 called "L.D. 50." The album got massive results. The look got massive results. Crahan was an ex-producer of the album. The first single "Death Blooms" raised a lot of conterversy because of it's consitent lyrics about suicide. Mainly people didn't car and liked Mudvayne's sound. The groups look did scare people. In 2001 Mudvayne "The Beggining Of All Things To End." Again Mudvayne got massive results. This time Mudvayne landed a spot on Ozzy's Ozz-Fest tour with the likes of Black Sabbath, Linkin Park, Slipknot, Crazy Town and more. "Dig" was the first single off of the album. "Dig" also was nominated for the MTV Video Music Awards for MTV2 Viewers Choice. It won, beating out the Gorillaz, Alicia Keys, Indie Aire, Jurrasic 5, and Craig David. Mudvayne appeared with the full make-up on. Mudvayne were asked to appear on the Merry Mayham tour with Ozzy Osbourne, Rob Zombie, Soil, and OneSideZero. Mudvayne appeared on the Pledge Of Allegiance Tour with Slipknot, System Of A Down, Rammstien, and No One. Mudvayne left the tour for personal reasons and were replaced by American Head-Charge. In November Mudvayne released "The End Of All Things To Come." The album debuted at #17 on Billboard. The first single "Not Falling" was huge. The new single and new album also included a new look. This time they had a more alien look. The band also changed thier names from Chud-Kud, Guurg-Gurrg, R-uD-Ryknow, and Spug-Spag. "Not Falling" got massive airplay on MTV and rock stations. "Dig" appeared on the "Resident Evil" soundtrack with Slipknot, Static-X, Marylin Manson, Fear Factory, Saliva, Ill Nino, Coal Chamber and more. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
