  Canada's most succesfull rap group is defently the Swollen Members. Prevail and Mad Child have been most succesful in thier breakthrough year 2002. In 1999 they released thier debut album "Balance" which had the hit single "Lady Venom" on it. "Lady Venom" won them a MMVA [Much Music Video Award] for best independent video. They repeated in 2002 winning it again for "Fuel Injected." "Fuel Injected" also won them four other MMVA's including Best VideoFACT video, best rap video, best independent, and best director.. They also picked up a Juno for best rap. The Swollen Member's "Bad Dreams" is thier new album feauturing members of Jurrasic 5, Dilated Peoples, and more. Bad Dreams went platinum in Canada.In Septemeber 2002 Swollen Members released a new record "Monster's In The Closet," the follow up to "Bad Dreams" which went platinum. This time they had a new member. Moka Only. Moka Only appears in the hits "Fuel Injected" and "Bring It Home." The first single off of "Monsters In The Closet" is "Steppin Thru" directed by Wendy Morgan" who directed "Fuel Injected," and won them an MMVA "Bring It Home, treble charger's "Hundred Milllion," in which Madchild and Previal appear in. The next video "Breathe" was directed by Todd MacFarlene, who has done videos for KoRn, and Pearl Jam. It marks his first un-animated video. The song is feautring Canadain pop-star Nelly Furtado who grew up with Moka Only, and Prevail.
