In Toronto thier manager hooked them up with Gavin Brown. Brown is a member of platinum selling, radio kings Big Sugar. After playing for him, they soon started sending out demos. In 2002 Three Days Grace landed a deal with Jive and started recording with Gavin Brown producing. They recorded the album in a Boston studio and a studio in Woodsville, New York.
