Hundreds of people cheered for us as we entered Closing Ceremonies. It was thrilling just to have completed the walk, and to be congratulated and thanked by so many people as we walked made it unforgettable. |
People were high-fiving us and screaming and yelling...other walkers, survivors, crew, and families and friends. Hundreds of people lined the final 1/4 mile of the route to welcome us home. The feeling is indescribable, but one I will never forget. |
Cheryl, Me, Ginny, and Lisa finished the 3-Day and here we are in our Victory t-shirts. It was grueling, it was painful, it was emotional...and it was all worth it. I would do it again in a second. I just might. |
There were so many stories that I heard and people that I met as we walked, I could write a book. What is true of all of them is that they were all there for the same reason, to put an end to Breast Cancer. I feel so proud that I was a part of something so important, and that I did my very best. I will never forget my experiences or the people that I met. It has changed my life, and I am glad that I can share it with the people that I care about. Thank you for visiting these pages! |
