Sketch: Finally, you get a chance to confront the Amazon Queen, Narsus, here! First, you have to kill 13 masked Amazons. When they're dead, Narsus, along with four armed minions, will appear. All five of them must be killed before the level ends. The enemies in this level are pretty hard, so I suggest you brush up on your fighting tactics in the Training Arena before you play this level. Use your armour and staff, and try to imitate the moves the Amazons are using against you. With all of them around it can be quite hard getting all the items.

Walkthrough: Pick up the staff on the ground. Turn around and get a health power-up and a Golden Shield.Continue and face some angry Amazons. On you immediate left is a little hill which you can use as a base of operations to kill Amazons from. But beware, they're pretty strong so they'll try to smash you off your base. At the foot of the two Titan statues lies scroll#1 and a covered health power-up. Go left into a long corner where you can claim another staff and a health power-up. Try to jump up the green little hill ahead. It's pretty hard. But if you succeed, you can pick up a Golden Shield. Save this thing to fight Narsus when she appears. (If you find an easier way to get the Golden Shield, I would appreciate it if you e-mail me.) Jump off to the left to find one more staff and a health power-up in another corner. Return to the main area.

In the far right are a couple of vases. Two of them carry a health power-up. There's another health power-up here which isn't hidden. You see a path leading upwards to the right Titan statue. Follow this path, tackling the Amazon on the way. Just by the statue is a little stony patch from where an Amazon is trying to kill you. Return the favour and grab the health power-up she was guarding. Now you can jump over on the waterfall. Keep jumping higher and find scroll#2, another staff and a health power-up there.

Before or after getting all the items, Narsus will appear, smile smugly and say:

This is an indication for you to get ready for her and her armed minions. The minions aren't that hard if you just keep using the staff and all the combo's you'd use if you had the sword. Narsus is a little bit harder. When she speaks the monologue above, activate your Golden Shield. As long as Xena is golden in colour, bash up Narsus as much as you can with your sword. Avoid her attacks with your armour, rolling tumble (run +square), cartwheel (circle + sideways button) and back handspring (circle + opposite direction button). Practice makes perfect, so just hang in there. Remember that even if you kill Narsus, the level will only end if her four minions are defeated as well. When you've succeeded, save your game, kick back and enjoy the next FMV sequence.
