October 5, 2001 Kindred Events -There is a fear that hunters may be arriving in the city within the next few months. Chris McLeod has apparently heard word through some of his contacts that several organisations may be taking an interest in the area. Local Kindred are advised to maintain a low profile. Major News Events -The new hospital that is being built has established a wall around the property; it is over six feet tall and will reportedly be equipped with some security devised to ensure that future patients will not be disturbed. -The Mob has reportedly been laundering money through several businesses that are owned by members of city council. While the council members' names have not been released, the public has been informed that the RCMP will be involved in the investigation. -Several trucking companies have begun to divert shipments from Guelph. Several of their employees have been assaulted by deranged street people, who apparently have screamed that the drivers are bringing Satan's handiwork into the city. Local PR firm for the city government, Jenkin and Waltherson Ltd are trying to calm the truck companies tense nerves. October 12, 2001 Kindred Events -Another member of the Nosferatu clan has been brought before the Primogen council. He has apparently been residing in the Warrens for the past few years, and only now has decided to announce himself. While the council is irritated that he was hidden away for so long, they are not punishing the member of clan Nosferatu. -The local Elysium was broken up early after the police arrived to serve a warrant to one of the waiters of the bar. Fortunately, there was no breech of the Masquerade, though it was more luck than anything else. Roughly ten minutes prior to their arrival, there had been a tussle between Mafristo and a passing member of clan Brujah, which resulted in the passer-through entering into torpor. The body had just been placed away when the police arrived. Major News Events -A local high school teacher is honoured in Ottawa by being presented with the medal for excellence in teaching. -The Guelph Storm are out of the running for the local cup, but have already begun training for next season. -The Verve has come to Guelph to play. They sold out the Trash. -A local, previously unknown member of society, has revealed that she has been working on developing a human-sized and shaped robot. Her work is still in the blueprint stage, but she has received over ten thousand dollars in a federal grant to accomplish her goal. October 19 Kindred Events -Kindred in the Box report that they have managed to incapacitate a ranking member of the Sabbat, as well as squashing the group of Kindred that travelled with it. They are being heralded by Justicar Di Zagreb as excellent example of what can occur if Kindred work together for the betterment of the Camarilla. -A large number of Kindred have been invited to attend a meeting of Noddist's in Montreal in several months time. VIPs include Jan Piertzoon, Beckett, Sasha Vykos, as well as several others. Noticeably absent is Beckett's mentor, Aristotle de Laurent. Major News Events -Garbagemen have complained that people are not properly sorting their garbage. In response to this, city council has agreed to increase funding to the wet-dry facility in the next fiscal year. -The Apollo Eleven has been purchased by the owner of Tony's Billiards. When asked about his purchase, the owner claimed that he had always wanted to be able to just go into a restaurant and be fed food he wanted to eat. To achieve this goal, he purchased the diner nearest to him. -The members of the social elite of Guelph are holding an auction to raise funds for the investigation into the disappearance of several children last month. Police are eagerly expecting the money, hoping to divert several detectives to the case. -A new kind of worm has been found in Guelph. It feeds off the roots of trees, and members of the environmental committee are trying to decide how to deal with it. -A young boy has been bitten by a snake that was let loose into the wild last year. Young Thomas Church was bitten by a large adder this week. His funeral is expected to occur on the 23rd next week. October 26 Kindred Events -Kindred are beginning to suspect that there may be a Sandman in the area; several small children have recently been admitted to hospital and all have been lacking large amounts of blood. -Mr. David Sant has entered the city. He is a member of the Tremere clan, and was welcomed warmly by his primogen, Nicholas Savich. Major News Events -A pair of university students have been found dead in the back of their car near the International House of Tail. The police have looked into the case, and are deeming it suspicious. -East Side Mario's is being sued for thirty thousand dollars by Ms. Amy May. She consumed some of their food, and was promptly stricken by food poisoning. The initial court date is for May 21, 2002. -City council has passed a curfew for all teenagers. They are to be off the streets by midnight, or they will have to spent the rest of the evening in the city jail, and receive a fine when they leave. -Aerosmith will be coming to town along with the Rolling Stones next summer. Tickets are on sale, and it's expected that all seats will be sold by the end of the day. |
