OZ-13-MSx2 Mobile Suit Mercurius

This mobile suit was designed along with the Vayeate by the five Gundam engineers after they were captured by OZ. OZ demanded that the five Gundam engineers build them a mobile suit that could beat the Gundams, and the Gundam Engineers reluctantly agreed. The Mercurius was the defensive counterpart of the mainly offensive Vayeate. The two mobile suits had to work together to get any kind of result. Like the Vayeate, the design is like the Tallgeese, and features a "visor" on the head of the mobile suit to protect it's valuable eye. (This visor can be removed) The Mercurius features a huge sheild-beam saber combo called the Crash Sheild. This was probably the second most powerful melee weapon next to the Epyon's beam sword. But the most unique feature of this mobile suit would be the ten so called "Planet Defensors" on it's back. These radio-controlled devices can block almost any attack, and can be controlled by the pilot in the cockpit. But the energy "shield" can only hold for a certain amount of time, as you can see in the Mercurius' battle against the Wing Zero.

The Mercurius was piloted by the now captured Gundam pilot Heero Yuy, mainly because of the fact that no other OZ soldier can handle it as well as Heero. The two Gundam pilots, Trowa and Heero, now go to silence a threat to the colonies, a mysterious pilot in the Wing Zero. This pilot turns out to be Quatre and he, in his rage, tries to kill Heero and Trowa. Trowa then sacrifices himself for Heero and the Vayeate explodes. Heero then takes the Mercurius into a duel with Quatre, but Quatre, seeing Trowa die, finally snapped out of it, but it was too late. Heero then also faints in the mobile suit. The Mercurius was destoryed on the Lunar Base a day or two after when Heero had gone crazy because of the Zero system, and Quatre detonated the Mercurius to snap Heero out of it and to try to destory the Wing Zero. And so the Mercurius was destoryed.

Then during the eve wars, the Mercurius and Vayeate was programed as mobile dolls with Heero's and Trowa's battle data. But Duo takes care of the dolls easily, saying that the White Fang would've been better off programing in his data.
