How do I spot a botanist?

This is a very difficult question. The first indication that a person might be a botanist is their involvement with plants. If you see a young child smelling a flower, be wary, this child could be a botanist. Other interactions with plants could include picking, planting, or observing them. If you see anyone interacting with plants in these or other manners, please take caution and follow the directions on what to do when you spot a botanist.
