reason for her transformation is that she was the love interest for a time of Mojo's greatest enemy (Longshot), and he wanted to hurt him by subverting his girlfriend.
Spiral is a loyal servant to Mojo and is a star in his Mojovision game show. She also runs the Body Shoppe, a place where genetics and technology are used to twist people in the same way that Spiral herself was twisted.
Recently, under Mojo's orders, Spiral teleported out of her dimension to earth to kidnap several mutant babies in which to raise and train as an elite fighting force of soldiers and assassins. Nightcrawler's own daughter, Heidi was included in this group. While on Mojo World, these children grew into young adults and highly trained killers with specialized skills, but the elasped time on earth was only two days.
When it became apparent that the X-Men were fixing to discover the where abouts of their missing child, Spiral teleported all the children back to earth and turned them loose into society. They have since been reunited with their parents, but unbeknownst to them, these former children are ticking time bombs waiting to go off.
Spiral is currently in California. Her exact location is unknown, waiting for the right time to return her "children" and show the X-Men as well as the world just how good her "kids" are. |
