H.F.O.
My lips can't say what these eyes really mean.
But if they could, you'd reach
Your beautiful way to me.
I've passed all the lights, now my road
Grows dark, and I've forgotten- somewhere out here,
What I was looking for...
Your hand is all I need now, for my light,
That slight hint of guidance to help me move my feet.
Folded the sadness-put it away for keeps-
Now my desires grow wild in all these fields,
There are no more roads to follow inside.
Brought to me, my youth again somehow,
I'm forever in debt.
And the most delicate feelings in my life I've ever met,
Pour straight from those porcelain fingers
Into my cold hands of doubt.
Cleansing my spirit...
Washing the disparity out.

"Look at this." I handed her the book, "How in the hell did you do that? This is part one! I have four parts of this all together! It's in my head and I need to keep going! Was it from the kiss? How did you..." She stood up as I talked, she placed her finger to her mouth in a silent shhhhhhhh, walked up to me and slowly placed the same finger to my lips. Ever so slowly, she drew close to me, put her hand on my cheek with the thumb resting on my chin. I tilted my head inward to hear what she was whispering. I could barely hear her.
"Finish it." She kissed me on the cheek. I smiled at her, then sat down and continued writing.
That was how I spent my days. My nights; there were no nights. Life was perpetual daylight. It was furor poeticus all over again. I could feel the pen empty itself on the paper. Days went by like hours. I remember Morrigan telling me to stop for a while.
"Let's do something. Even you have to take a little time-off." So we started to do that as well. We went for coffee, shopped, went to concerts...  Then it happened. Morrigan drove me to an art festival in Los Angeles. Before we entered, she paused.
"Soon, I am going to let you know who I am. Everything will be explained later when we are leaving. I-... I know certain people in areas around here and a few other places. They give me a certain kind of support.  You may feel overwhelmed. But I can explain everything after, okay? Maybe... ...trust me? Please?" She was wearing her humbled 'please!' smile, showing her teeth slightly enough to make me want to kiss that slight smile.
"I want to hear it from you." I responded, "You know, this past year has been overwhelming. You have been overwhelming. For the first time in my life I have the confidence to say I have actual faith in someone. I do trust you." She threw her arms over my shoulders, kissed me, and did that little jumping up and down thing. Been so busy writing, I seemed to have blanked that out. But now, that kiss brought on a totally different desire. The first big exploratory kiss you share with one, right before the passion gets turned up that notch...
One moment after we opened the doors to what resembled a C-130 hangar, we were escorted to an inner area. The display was "Expression in Glass" And the work was amazing. What I found out later was that he used nothing but broken glass, according to size, shape, and color.  After the first few attempts, he learned more about the correct melting temperature; Just enough to take the sharp edges off, and enough for cohesion.
"Morrigan! It's so nice to see you again! An older man in a grey/black suit greeted her; She gave him a hug and expressed congratulations on his success with "Paradigm". She received his e-mail. Morrigan then introduced me. The seriousness of his expression was humbling. And I had no clue yet, why he said this:
"You walk with Morrigan, you walk with the hopes and dreams of mankind... No greater honor for you," He eyed Morrigan;  "or for her..." The turned back to me, "I am Russell, the curator. I welcome you and your beautiful escort. Please let me introduce you to everyone..."
Overwhelming, yes. People from everywhere gathered around Morrigan. Luckily, She held my hand and pulled me closed or I could have very well been crowded out. A sun, in the middle of these people. Shining her radiance in all directions. But because Russell had told these people so much of her over the years, they automatically knew her... And had to know me. But nobody made me feel uncomfortable. I laughed, asked-answered questions. These people were from all walks of life; blue jean tee shirt talked to Armani, and they looked like they've been friends for life. They handed me their business cards, '...to keep in touch'.
Morrigan released his hand and watched him react to the crowd. He's in awe, she thought, and not a trace of narcissism. She remembered him a year ago. And how she felt when he was in a coma. The hurt, guilt... Jarod turned back around and stared at Morrigan. He excused himself and walked back up to her.
"You alright?"
"Yes. It's nice to see you so- alive. It's hard to explain, but I can sense this renewal of energy from you. Can you tell me?"
I motioned for her to follow. I knew what I was going to say, even if it was fresh from my mind. As soon as I felt they were safe from the crowd, I turned around and kissed her. My hands held her delicate face, as hers reached around my back and neck.
