Amateur Poet IV

This is a blessing in disguise and some kind of twist since I was not in the mood to write any poetry for lack of imagination and inspiration but my youngest sister got a project in school and need my help in writing some 'Haiku Poetry'. At first I was hesitant to help her since I think it's kinda hard and too much rule in a poetry for my taste but I did it in the end. Each image contains one haiku....

Haiku - Japanese verse form, notable for its compression and suggestiveness. It consists of three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables. The haiku evolved from the earlier linked-verse form known as the renga and was used extensively by Zen Buddhist monks in the 15th and 16th centuries. In the next 200 years, the verse form achieved its greatest popularity and success. Some famous haiku poets are :

  • Basho
  • Yosa Buson
  • Kobayashi Issa
  • Masuoka Shiki
