Bartleby Verse
American & English Poetry: 1250-1920. Complete online texts of
six classic poetry anthologies, including The Oxford Book of English Verse,
the Yale Book of American Verse, Modern American and British Poetry, Metaphysical
Lyrics of the 17th Century, and the Golden Treasury.
The Internet Classics Archive
The emphasis here is on writers of Western antiquity, though works
by some Eastern masters are included. Over 400 manuscripts are online--including
the great poems of Homer, Ovid, Virgil, and Omar Khayyam, as well as the
usual works from Plato's agora set. The site includes discussion forums
for each work, among other things.
Electronic Text
Center Holdings
The University of Virginia's Electronic Text Center includes the texts
of numerous poetic works as well as other forms (in 12 languages including
Latin) in its huge archive, as well as numerous links to manuscripts hosted
elsewhere on the internet. Also archived are literature-related images,
etc.
