Opening day at the races in Del Mar this year.  We had to all go buy hats to wear!  Unfortunately we did not leave big winners.  This is me in my hat.  Darla, Steph and Lisa in theirs.  For some reason, I can't find the rest of the pictures.

  The girls took me to PF Chang's for dinner on my birthday.   The lettuce wraps were awesome (even though the magic ball said we shouldn't order them).  The Kung Pao was hot and spicy!  Well worth waiting for. And of course Melissa and Steph bought me several (I think there were three) Jamaican me fall of my seat drinks (they had discovered them in Vegas).  Thus, I wanted to play in the fountain, but they wouldn't let me, so I played in the water popper instead.

Although keeping busy, there are not many large events being planned for anytime soon.  The holidays are here, and the snow should be coming soon.  I will be working weekends at Bear Mtn, so I will have to keep my plans minimalized.  I will most likely be spending Thanksgiving Day at Steph and Fred;s and am planning to have friends over that same weekend for my first winter dinner party (possibly Saturday) depending on my work schedule. Shannon's holiday party and the Boat Parade are both on December 7th.    I am hoping to get up to San Francisco on December 21 for Gaskell's Ball and the Dickens Faire.
