2004:
12th Jan
Catch 22; Southampton- The Joiners
3 Day Benda Support
First time at the Joiners. Excellent. Good crowed, and u can actually be at the front...and skank! Both great bands. and a really fun evening!... ending with a sprint for the U2 bus. Ahh... good times!

6th Feb
Blink-182; London- Wembly Arena
My first visit to wembly. Bit of a 3rd wheel (sorry guys), but I wasnt too bothered, I'd undoubtably loose them the second the gig started anyway. And I neednt worry Excellent... and it was! Just as you'ld expect from either Blink or wembly. Again, with the large spouts of confettii, but this time ping pong balls too :S... i grabbed one in flight and so probably one of a few with one still spherical. Much Pride :D.

10th Feb
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club; Southampton Guildhall
The Cooper Temple Clause support
Most of my companions may have gone to the gig to see TCTC (thus explaining why the only photo's are of them...grrrr). I'd much prefer a BRMC gig any day of the week! Bit more lively... TCTC have some great songs though...enough to make an impressive support slot. BRMC were as good as I hoped, and I pity Matt and Vish who went and sat down...lazy fat basterds not knowing good music when its jumping around in front of them...

17th Feb
Winnebago Deal; Southampton Joiners
Drive Like You Stole It support
Not the best gig ever, in fact I think maybe my worst... or one from worst. I like Manhunt though... good song. but not the greatest of shows by any stretch of the imagination. Drive Like You Stole It were a really good band though, probably the only saving grace. I tried recently to see Drive Like You Stole It at the Moles in Bath, unfortunatly it sold out before I got there, but I recomend you keep your eye's and ears open.

23rd Feb
Not Katies; Southampton Joiners
The Not Katies home gig, and so an extended gig to boot. This was a really fun gig as expected... though didnt know they were from southampton :S. They dont havr much of a catalogue to form a set list from, but what they've got is a good selection, for a solid set and can only get better. Look these guys up.

29th Feb
The Ataris; Portsmouth Pyramid Centre Oh yeah!! a long time in the waiting this gig was finaly upon us...and I almost set off without my ticket... big oops! but yes. Was a great gig. Lots of fun was had. Teenage Riot, an excellent song!

1st March
The Vaults; Southampton Joiners
This may be the worst gig...but only because I cant recal any of The Vaults set. This due to a somewhat interesting text conversation, resulting in a few less entries in my mobiles directory and a day trip to Bournemouth the next day to see Soph's. So memorable, but be damned if I know what they're like live

7th March
cKy; Southampton Guildhall
This gig, as you can expect from cKy, was pretty intense. An excellent set, and a welcome return to large scale rock for me. Came away with a set list (actually a part there-of), and a few bruises to boot. One of my favorite gigs. These guys put on a great show...check them out, get the DVD! (if you're too cheap to do that listen to Jackass music...they're on it!)

9th March
Reel Big Fish (2) and Goldfinger; Southampton Guildhall
Zebrahead support
With all three of these bands well worthy of a place or two in ur CD collection, this gig was well worth the fee. An excelent gig, from start to end. One of the best. (and I got a new Reel Big Fish T-Shirt...this one fits!)

13th March
Aqualung; Southampton University
A gig with the Miss's. Actually, first gig I'd been to with someone im dating...also the first chill-out gig I'd seen...so hey... almost two years down the line there's room for two first! Was a good gig... not sure if I'd have enjoyed it alone, but was nice to be with Soph's for it. Brings back Feeder again :)

7th April
Solarbeat Alliance (Formally Spankboy but due to legal issues with a porn site...well... they changed their name. obvious really); The Joiners
Ahh Ska, I've missed you so, being almost a month and all... nice bit of theraputic stress relief at a confusing point in my life right now... and importantly damn good fun! Oh if you'd been there, the joy you would have experienced when the f-ing crowd jumping leotard wearing, pink jumper shaved armpit (you feeling the built up angst), fell on his head...eventually pissing others off so much that one guy actually pulled him down landing on his head again. ahh... that made me smile... im not an evil man... but I like to see people get their comeuppance. *Chortle*. But yeah. Blissful skanking was enjoyed, a damn good band. well worth your pocket money!
