TeluguLipi
Support
This page is designed to test TeluguLipi for
Windows 98/NT/2000 Issues.
Known Problems: Issue#1: In Windows
98/NT/2000, when you use TeluguLipi Fonts, the Telugu letters 'a', 'kha'
and 'da' does not display correctly.
Issue#2: In some versions of
Windows 2000 installations, TeluguLipi font wont install properly by the
TeluguLipi Editor setup. When you start TeluguLipi Editor, if you don't
see the welcome message in "Telugu", then you hit this bug.
Solution: To correct these problems
we have updated the TeluguLipi Font. Please follow the directions below
(religiously) to upgrade your font to version 4.2.
- Download lipi.exe to
c:\temp directory
- (Instead of letting you save the file to
your hard disk, if the font is directly displayed in the font viewer,
right click on the link and then select "Save Target
As")
- Go to Windows Control Panel->Fonts
Folder, and check to see if you allready have TeluguLipi Font
installed. (Look for 'Telugu Lipi')
- If you find one, select it and right
click on it. In the pop-up menu select Delete to remove that
font.
- Go to c:\temp (Or where ever you
downloaded the font to.) and run lipi.exe. When the installer opens,
click the Install Button
- That should install new TeluguLipi Font
and show you some sample text. Click on Exit button to
finish.
Now you have the latest TeluguLipi Fonts
(Version 4.2) updated to solve Windows 98/NT/2000 problems. Run TeluguLipi

In my tests, I have noticed that kha and da
are apprearing as Z and z respectively in MS Internet Explorer 4.0 in Win
NT only. There is no fix for this.
Netscape doesn't seem to have any problems in
Winows 98/NT/2000 with TeluguLipi
