Joey wheeler is one of Yugi’s best friends. Joey also is a very close friend with Tristen. Although Joey isn’t the brightest or most serious character on the show he still holds a very important role in the show… The comic relief! Joey is very, very, overconfident. Joey also plays Duel Monsters as well. He really wasn’t very good at the game when he started. Eventually Yugi’s Grandpa trained him how to play better. Although Grandpa never finished Joey’s training, Joey did learn quite a bit from him. Then Joey and Yugi went to the duel monsters tournament were Joey skill grew substantially. Joey made it all the way to the final round, of the tournament before the duel with Pegasus. Joey went to the tournament to win the prize money for an operation his blind sister needs. Joey’s parents divorced when he was very young, and he never got to see his sister again. |
