Well, in just under 4 hours I will have officially reached that age at which birthdays stop being fun...oh wait, that was last year...hmm... Well, let's just briefly review the year, shall we? 1) Fell in and out of love with my best friend...again... 2) Went to New York City and saw the Producers, met M.B. and N.L. yada yada yada...you all know you're still jealous...unless you were there...in which case you share my coolness. :) 3) Lost my first close friend. 4) Got my first "real" job 5) Earned my Masters Degree 6) Made out with some cute boys at some parties. And of course there's everything else that happened this year, that wasn't exactly directly related to me. Let's just pray that in the next year I find some sense of normalcy...of course in order for that to actually happen, I have to figure out WHERE I want to find it... One thing's for sure, it certainly isn't in North Carolina :)

Thanks to everyone who helped make my birthday so special. You guys rock!! Of course, there is more partying to do this weekend, and even MORE partying to do with those of you I'm going to see in Boston next month. I love you guys. Mwah! So since I have all this free time now that I'm out of school, I've got another list of of "Things I want to accomplish this year"...let's say "this semester" just for nostalgia's sake... 1. Write a new novel 2. Make Graduation Day into a full length screenplay 3. Put new poetry up on my website 4. Try out for a show 5. Leave Florida for more than just a few days 6. Do really well at the National Youth Court Conference

Web journals, web journals everywhere. I have yet to see one as incoherent as mine...oh wait, I forgot about Joe's...and Mark's...and Rebecca's...and now there's Kim's...hmm... Okay, so I've already begun to accomplish my "semester" goals...the poetry site hath been updated, including the additon of some of my own words...please feel free to tear them apart like a small-minded, monster-egoed, public state university creative writing major. Goal number 5 is looking more and more appealing every day. My hopes for the Boston trip are mixed at this point. But you know you need some sort of stimulation when a 6th grade, juvenile delinquent is correcting your grammar.

Hurray for drunken nights of debauchery!! I will literally marry the first man that can out-drink me and not throw up in my house...as long as as he has blue eyes and a mile long creative streak. I must appologize again to Thomas for calling and waking his ass up at 2 in the morning. Or rather, for allowing Shawn to do so. I must say I'm disappointed with the lack of responses I've gotten from the Monthly Poll for January: Top Ten Jobs I'd be Good At. I challenge all of you to create a list nearly as funny as Thomasito's. In the meantime I'm putting up a sign in my house: Welcome to Dannie's. Please feel free to throw up in my bathtub. And a special thanks to Katie for cleaning up after her nasty boyfriend!!!.

So here's a list of things that were supposed to get done over the weekend that have yet to be accomplished: locating my office floor, vacuuming, getting my nails done, get my hair to pick a color/length, doing the laundry that is piled literally a foot deep in my walk-in closet, determining the status of my valentine's day rendezvous, figuring out how I can afford a new suit and material to recover my futon before next weekend (God bless Yoda and the big ass Trinity Prep Forensics Team.) Not to mention all the reading and researching and creative bullshitting I still need to do for the National Youth Court Conference. The good news is that in less than 2 weeks I get to leave Florida for a full 5 days. (Again, God bless Yoda and the big ass Trinity Prep Forensics Team.) AND the new version of Graduation Day is in the works. Much like Jen Linley, (if you know who that is I am SO impressed) I must find my muse through my angst...and there is quite a bit to be had on a day when one accomplishes so little and is beginning to feel as though an alien could burst forth from one's stomach any moment... I really need to work on that whole writing an entire work in the same voice thing...

Okay, one of you Y Chromosome bearing, romantic bone possessing, so-called men in my life had better start doing some convincing cuz I'm about 8 days away from doing worse than turning lesbian, I'm gonna stop being interested in ANYONE. That's right, celebacy, baby! I don't understand it. Avi says I'm not slutty enough. Well, dammit, god forbid a woman be decent or choosy or idealistic. GOD FORBID! Ya know, all I ask is that I have a good valentines day for ONCE in my life. It has NEVER happened. HELL I don't even think any of you READ this anymore. I might as well never be online at all! UGH. "A woman needs a man, like a fish needs a bicycle..." Oh Bono, how I wish you were right... Somebody better restore my faith, and fast...
