| Zomi Innkuan Conference: Florida, USA, Press Release Press Release Number : 01/2005 Date : Monday, March 28, 2005 Ref: "Zomi Innkuan (USA)" Organization 1. The first ever Zomi Innkuan Community Conference was successfully held at Hollywood, Florida, U.S.A on Saturday, March 26, 2005. 2. The said first ever Zomi Innkuan Community Conference was hosted by Florida Zomi Innkuan (USA) and delegates from the following commuties attended acordially, - Florida Zomi Innkuan (USA) - Zomi Innkuan Washington D.C - Zomi Innkuan Chicago - Appalachain Zomi Innkuan - Zomi Innkuan Oklahoma - Zomi Innkuan Portland sent their courtesy letter with their agendas. - A delegate from Canada attended as an observer. 3. The said Conference deliberation passed an agreement to establish an organization of all existing Zomi Innkuans in U.S.A and founded the organization : "Zomi Innkuan (USA)". 4. An interim Committee was formed up to lead the newly established "Zomi Innkuan (USA)", with the present Chairman/Presidents and Secretaries of the member Zomi Innkuan Communitiesand the President and Secretary from Florida Zomi Innkuan (USA) are assigned the Chairmanship to the said Interim Committee. 5. The Interim Committee will draft a Constitution with the consultations of member Innkuan communities within the future six months and after a referendum it would be made effective on Thanksgiving Day 2005. Then, the "Zomi Innkuan (USA)" would go ahead accordingly by the new Constitution. Vungh En Thang Convener Zomi Innkuan Conference |
