"Max" and "Cool Dude" bring you " The Search Page" a useful tool to assist you in finding your way around the Web and to look up those interesting and little known facts you have always wanted to know.

"Netscape" users add the search page to you "bookmarks".

"Internet Explorer" users click "Favorites" to add this as your search site - This was new in revision 3.0

Netscape Communicator (Navigator) 4.5 is the newly released version, and is the most popular browser, but clear some space on your hard drive and add the Netscape plug-ins, or at least add Liveupdate's Crescendo it's the must have midi plug-in. If you have Win 95, NT, Windows 3x or a Mac I think this is your best choice in a browser.

Internet Explorer 4.0 with (Win95 browser) ActiveX Resources Area, is a neet place for ACTIVEX tools, is a real good combination. Some of the scrolling text, sounds, and other special effects that come with these web pages may be missed without Internet Explorer.

Microsoft Internet Explorer only supports Win95 and NT at this time. ( The Internet Explorer 4.0 is also for Windows 95, Windows 3x and Mac )

Microsoft Exchange (for E-mail) is easy to use and is already in your Windows 95. But E-mail and News Connectionsis faster loading and has many features. It supports multiple users and accounts and has an auto add for your address book.

Windows 95 comes with Internet Explorer 3.0 (newer packaging may contain 4.0) and Microsoft Exchange.

WS_ftp File transfer protocol. I will be using this to mount the home pages on the server. This is real easy to use.

Finger You put an internet address in and it will tell you who is on line at that computer. If you have a user name you can check to see when that person was on last.

Wintalk Allows you to talk (type messages) to someone else on line. The user you are trying to contact must also have it and be online. Works well with Finger . After you finger someone and find out they are online you can contact them with this.

Ewan for Windows Is a Telnet program that is fun to use and gives you a group of places to visit and communicate with others in Telnet apps.

Global Chat is an easy and fun way to communicate directly with others online. In here there are several channels providing many different rooms, of all kinds of interests. I mean all kinds, so you need to be careful that the kids don't stumble into the wrong ones.

AOL Instant Chat     Communicate Instantly... "Talk" to your family, friends and business colleagues instantly . . . no matter where they are!     Enjoy Private Conversations. . . Exchange messages for instant, private, one-to-one chats. Have Fun!     Instant Messenger is faster than e-mail and more fun than the phone!
