A few photos from George and Gracie's TV days. After transferring to television the act has another multi-year run. In their debut episode on television, George explained their roles for those who may not have seen them before. He explained that he is the "straight man" whose job is to ask the question to which the commedianne hilariously responds. Then it is his job to pause...George's true gift. In the image on the left, George demonstrates on of his "ad-libs."

Face of Beauty

Before beginning to wow people with laughs, Gracie was a talented dancer. She apparently grew up in an Irish household, her parents being immigrants. Gracie learned to dance at a very early age and was quickly preforming on stage. Her beauty is definitely something that stopped people in their tracks, including a young comic named George Burns.
