Journey Of Moments 6 of 8
Jennifer: It's only fair. And just before you get out of my way I think you have something to say to me.
Sven: Yeah. I love you. (Quietly, and feeling foolish, yet sincere.)
Jennifer: You should now apologize to the lady you pushed over.
Sven: Hey, how... (shocked almost)
Jennifer: I looked back when I heard the noise, and conveniently decided to take my time.
Sven: Why didn't you turn back?
Jennifer: Why did you run after me?
Sven: I believe we have already figured that one out.
Jennifer: Yeah, so, I suppose it's true. It's been said. Does anything change?
Sven: For today it does. You, young lady, are not leaving this place until you have found a birthday card for your friend.
Jennifer: Oh, is that so? And is there a reason as to why I should make things worse than they already are?
Sven: Yes there is, if you'll look at the card I gave you, you'll notice that I'm not from here, but rather far away, over in New Brunswick of Canada, on the east coast, and because of that, when I leave today, it will be most likely forever.
Jennifer: Oh. As in I'll never see you again for the rest of my life?
Sven: Yes, if you wish to put it that way.
Jennifer: Well, I suppose, if I walk out and away I'll hate myself for it, and suddenly... everything...
Sven: Yes...?
Jennifer: Oh, one condition, in staying fair, because before you kissed me, now I get to kiss you. (smiling wide like before)
Sven: As long as you kiss fair (with a smile of equal stature and closing his eyes) and you allow me to close my eyes now so that I only rememb...
She kisses him as they naturally put their arms each other.
A moment later... (Looking at each other for a moment as people walk, staring.)
Jennifer: O.kay, loverboy? (And he follows her back into the mall as they take each other by locked hands in youthful jest.)
Later... After most of the remainder of the afternoon has come and gone, during which time simple fears have been extinguished; the ease at which the two are able to relate to one another only becomes easier and more natural. Peacefulness in happiness has grown.
