1993 Poetry
I wrote these poems when I was 16 to 17 years old
go to poetry:
1990-1992 - 1993 - 1994 - 1995 - 1998 - poetry - headstone - one
Cold blue eyes stare,
Into the deepest blue oceans,
Confused thoughts - mixed emotions, and anger
Swimming in his head,
A want - A need,
To grasp onto what?
It's not there.
Frozen he's lost in the ocean,
Trembling with fear.

The Sixties Dream
Psychedelic patterns on the wall,
A pot smoker's sixties dream,
Images floating around in their head,
No one understands what they mean.
Words filling their hearts with hope,
With that sixties type of pride,
Love, peace, happiness, and joy,
The war shows the tears they've cried.
As they pray the war will end,
For the fighting they know is wrong,
Guns are fired in the midnight air,
Who'll put an end to their song?

The smile,
Glares into you,
After the look,
THAT look,
Who are you?
The changes,
From one person to another,
A confused glance,
The two then become one.

You were all I ever wanted
To have and hold in life
I was blinded by your sight
You cut through me like a knife
You were something that I needed
More than you'll ever know
And it was the hardest thing
For my heart to let you go
Now in my dreary, gray life
I am lost in a tangled maze
You are mixed in my confusion
Life passes me in a daze
All I wanted was to hold you
To feel your heart next to mine
The coldness has filled my glass
With a bitter tasteless wine
