Birthplace: Carraya (near the Klingon/Romulan border)

Background: Torg was born and raised on a secret Romulan outpost in the Carraya System (*note - reference TNG episodes "Birthright" parts I & II). His father, being a Romulan officer posted at the camp, shielded him from any form of Klingon upbringing that his Klingon mother may have wished him to have. However, the ways of the Klingon often called to him making him a very difficult child to raise under Romulan influences. Still, being very muched loved by his mother and father, he was embraced with patience and understanding. Receiving a great deal of technical training, he gained many skills especially in the area of navigation. Secretly, his father would allow him to accompany him on short, low key shuttle flights where he was able to experience travel in space. By age 15, he could have been considered an expert shuttle pilot.

Space flight fed his desire for discovery and adventure, and with the coming of Lt. Worf in 2369, he left Carraya at the age of 19 with a small band from the outpost having similar cravings. Having his ears physically altered to allow his acceptance into Klingon society, he felt he wanted to be mainstreamed fully into a culture that made up only half of him. However, in less than a years time, he realized that his Romulan make-up was too much of an influence to fully embrace what it meant to be Klingon. Unhappy on the Klingon homeworld and with no chance of experiencing the other portion of his genetics, he began to seek out his place in the universe--beginning by having his ears changed back to their original form.

Over the next year, he became a wanderer, taking odd jobs and free transit whenever the opportunity was made available. By 2372, he was financially tapped out with his ideals of honor and good will being similarly effected. Luckily, his piloting skills earned him a position with an independent mining asteriod company. Although the pay was low, he was able to maintain himself, and through a "questionable" venture brought to him by a co-worker, he quickly had acquired a modest savings. In this he began to feel that the pursuit of profit was life's one and only worthwhile objective.

Working with the independent company allowed him continual exposure to various types of space vessels and by the end of 2373, had substantially improved his navigational abilities. It was his piloting skill that allowed him to save the MV Exchequer, its cargo, and the mining operation itself when the tractor beams of the temporary docking pylons on the asteroid malfunctioned, threatening to crash the vessel into the mining area. Manuevering his transport shuttle between the tractor beam emitters and the Exchequer, he interrupted the beam long enough for the merchant ship to regain control and for him to beam himself to the freed vessel. The mining director proceeded to fire him for the destruction of the shuttle, but his daring and willingness to sacrifice for the sake of profit won the attention and admiration of DaiMon Koda, the Exchequer's female, Ferengi commanding officer. She offered him a postion as navigator on board the MV Exchequer, and he could do nothing else but accept.

Personality: Torg's state of mind is a meld of general psychological patterns found in Klingon and Romulan societies. His psyche is based heavily on the ideals of respect and honor but is tempered with a "whatever it takes to get the job done" mentality. Extreme situations can result in decision making that is borderline irrational.

Physical appearance: Torg has the physical prowess typical of young Klingon males. Due to his biracial genetics, the subject can tolerate extreme changes in weather conditions and retains a shape of ear characteristic of his Romulan heritage. Otherwise, his appearance is cheifly that of any normal Klingon.

Special Notes: Torg has extensive abilities in piloting and navigating most forms of space and nonspace vessels, and he is well trained in tracking and other procedures related to hunting.
