Background: Jakta Gru, Bolian biologist, discovered an odd find in the laboratory of the late Stella Mudd: fertilized eggs, in cryogenic containers. Research determined that Stella Mudd had kept these fertilized eggs, in preparation for perceived future legal battles with her estranged husband, the infamous Harry Mudd, in some sort of child support scheme. Only one egg had survived the test of time, and Gru, out of curiosity and a strange sense of obligation, brought the egg out of stasis and into an incubation chamber, out of which Reagan Mudd was born, named after Jakta Gru's Irish assistant.
During her teenage years, Reagan studied "Orion Sociology," which
allowed her a unique perspective into the criminal world, as well as several contacts. Later at Starfleet Academy, her ability to be resourceful was noticed by her instructors, and she was assigned to Starfleet Intelligence upon graduation. Through pulling strings and a little blackmail, Reagan won assignment to Echo Team, an elite infiltration unit. During her assignment, she assisted working the Breen Borderlands, under the mentorship of Lt. Commander Jonah Savage, her team leader, and Commander Jovan Petrovic, the Infiltration Coordinator for Delta, Echo, Tango, and Iota teams. Her team members still call her "Taboo," her nickname as a rookie agent. Despite the implication, she had an
intense affair with Jonah, who disappeared on a mission, presumed dead. Reagan went on to working as a Maquis Detection Agent at Starfleet Academy, where she assisted in weeding out potential defectors. During her stay there, she became romantically involved with Jonah's nephew, Joshua Chamberlain Savage, then a cadet at the Academy. Upon Josh's assignment to the USS Sovereign, he regretted his involvement with the Maquis group, and reported Reagan to Commander Petrovic, now commanding the USS Arashi, at Outpost 75. Josh discovered Reagan's involvement in Starfleet Intelligence, and assisted in her rescue from members of the Obsidian Order on Risa. Reagan then left Covert Operations for some "Fleet time," and worked as Chief Intelligence Officer under Captain Jason Phillips for both the USS Atlanta, and the USS Razor, rising quickly to the rank of Lieutenant Commander. Disillusioned with the massive, pointless deaths in the Dominion
War, Reagan quit Starfleet as soon as the Razor was assigned to the front lines. This also happened the same time her lost lover, Jonah, was revealed to have survived the Breen's capture, having his memories replaced by Idarian Intelligence Agents. Regaining his memory and integrating those with his new memories of life as an Idarian monk, Jonah expressed the desire to "remain friends" with Reagan. Angered and confused, Reagan used her contacts, and
gained work as a Tactical/Security Expert on the Merchant Vessel
Exchequer, on a mission to strengthen her contacts in the criminal world, and find a way to win Jonah back.
Personality: Reagan is very ambitious, and more than a little self-serving. She seeks to bring others under her influence, and is very loyal to friends. She is seen as rather cool and calculating to many, perhaps a result of spending her teenage years among Vulcans. Reagan is also extremely vindictive when
crossed.
