"Will you come with me to the Abyss, Jessica? It would be fun to show your family you have some backbone." Crowley.
"OK. I step into the spell area." Jessica.
"YES!!!!!!!!!!!" GM
"Would you like anything special for our wedding?" Bronwyn.
"Well, I'd quite like to get married with the Jewel of Judgement round my neck, but that would mean telling mother." Moradin.
"I'll steal it for you." Bronwyn.
"My name is Tar-Quin. My brother is Harley-Quin, my sister is Mannie-Quin. Anything you wish to say on the matter?" William's high priest, to William.
"Yes. What is your mother called?" William.
"Palan-Quin." Tarquin.
"So, you're my high priest, and you're an atheist?" William.
"No. I just don't believe in you. Under the circumstances, it would be like believing in the milkmaid." Tar-Quin.
"The Geek from Outer Space? I have gone down in my own holy book as the Geek from Outer Space? William.
"That's not the worst of it. You have to wear the holy caterpillar suit." Tar-Quin.
"So long as it doesn'y have a big red auto-destruct button on it." William.
"It has a huge red button. Very conspicuous." Tar-Quin.
"I get out my Trump deck and I blame it all on Hazard." William.
"What have I done?" Jessica.
"What have you done?" Hazard.
"I shall be intrigued to hear your explanation of this." Benedict.
Bronwyn and Moradin, who were talking of marriage, decided it would be nice if Moradin could wear the Jewel of Judgement for the wedding, so Bronwyn set off to steal it. She had broken into Rinaldo's apartments and had just stolen it when Brand's voice advised her not to take it, but instead to give him a fake, which Brand provided. He then pocketed the real thing. Bronwyn hurried the fake Jewel down to Moradin, who thanked her in a spooky voice and started staring into it in a strange way. Bronwyn ran away, and found Hazard just outside the North Gate...
In the mean time, Jessica had attuned herself to the Abyss by the mere act of entering it, and was now unable to manipulate Shadow, but instead could tear her way through Shadow in a very satisfying way. She had realised she could not shift and had instead Gated herself to the North Road, where Hazard was just recovering. Hazard swore at her mildly, Jessica realised what she had done, and Benedict quietly asked her for an explanation. That had to wait, because Bronwyn came up to them, gasping and saying that Moradin had the Jewel and was acting strangely. All of them went back as fast as they could to the castle, and 'Moradin' tried to freeze Benedict with the fake Jewel, but couldn't. He spoke in Crowley's voice and disappeared.
Bronwyn arrived out of breath and explained that it was not the real Jewel, to which Hazard replied no, but it was the real brother, and if Bron wanted her boyfriend back, she had better think about what to do.
At this time, William was in the Shadow, and had found the main site of worship for his cult. His high priest seemed rather annoyed and a little amused that he actually existed, but did raise up the army that William needed. William started back for Amber with the army.
It being late at night back in Amber, those who had witnessed the disappearence of Moradin went to their rooms. Bronwyn went to call on Jessica to ask her about the Abyss, and Jessica decided to Gate into the Abyss. She got the radius of the Gating wrong, and the burning tunnel extended to cover Bronwyn as well. Due to copious amounts of good stuff and not entering of her own free will, Bronwyn was not attuned to the Abyss, but they did meet Uncle Crowley face-to-sort-of-face for the first time. Crowley announced that he had Moradin prisoner, and did not intend to give him up. Bronwyn offered her own body in return for her lover's, and Crowley thought about it for a while, and then remarked that he would like to have Hazard instead. Bronwyn refused even to think about betrayal of Hazard, so Crowley walked off, leaving Jessica to Gate them back.
That night, Jessica dreamed of what Crowley had done to Hazard the first time he captured her - lingering things to do with ciagarettes, ice, and boiling oil, and a silver knife. She woke up knowing a little more about her relatives than she would have liked to.
Hazard, meantime, was apparently getting drunk, as Benedict and William had physically prevented her from going to save Moradin. When she passed into unconsciousness, they went out to check on the army, and when they were halfway out of the castle, William remembered that she didn't get drunk unless she wanted to... Running back, they found she had disappeared. An anxious wait culminated in her return, via Bleys' Trump and then the infirmary, as Moradin had a skull fracture. Josh and Benedict operated, and he was awake and bursting with expletives by the time Bronwyn visited the next day. As Hazard and Benedict were both there, and Hazard is a dab hand with spells, she teleported a Priest of the Unicorn in, and they got hitched then and there. Hazard gave Bronwyn a spikey red Armani dress as a wedding present. He was up and about the next day, strictly against Josh's orders. He took to teasing Jessica again almost immediately.
Then Rinaldo went missing. He was just not seen after getting up one morning. No clues were left, and Fiona could not trace any magic, a failure which she put down to the migraine she had at the time.
Hazard and Moradin were feeling really depressed, and Coral was declared Regent for the King-to-be, who had not even been crowned yet. Moradin took out his anger by having sex often and teasing Jessica. However, when he pushed her too far, she hit him. Rather hard, in fact.
At the end of the session, People were all returning to or in Amber, and Jessica was staring in dismay at the limp youth that had just bounced off her fist and a wall. Aneirin was watching with one annoyingly raised eyebrow.
