I will be playing a free solo set at the Winery (across from
Utage:Athens Sushi Bar/Junkman's) on Washington St. in Athens, GA,
this Monday night, 8/9/99, beginning around 10:30. I will be
swapping half-hour sets with a friend of mine from the band Walking
for Days. Again, this is free, so drop in if you've got the time.
It should be QUITE relaxing.

Charles Colson (of whom I am normally quite wary), has written was
is
supposedly THE book to buy this year -- it is a follow-up to Francis
Schaeffer "How Should We Then Live" called "How Now Shall We Live."
I'm going to give it a chance -- look it over if you see it
somewhere. Also, be on the look-out for Alister McGrath's new
book,
"The Unknown God : Searching for Spiritual Fulfilment", which I also
imagine will be good.
If you are from Ohio;
see the Cactus Pears, Orchestraville, and Pretty Mighty Mighty and
buy all of the stuff of theirs that you can! If you're not doing
this, you don't know what you're missing! How I envy you!
