Do you like green eggs and ham?
Dr Seuss, author of classics like 'Cat in the Hat' and 'Green Eggs and Ham' once gave the following advice;
'Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.'
It's an interesting thought. Perhaps we need to be more honest at times with others about who we are and how we feel. Dishonesty can come easily, particularly when being completely truthful about ourselves could make us feel even more uncomfortable, or show us in an unfavourable light. Dishonest communication hinders relationships; with God and with others. In the end, we begin to deceive ourselves and may end up in a place where we don't want to be. The psalmist encourages us to be open about who we are;
Those who have a clean hands and a pure heart, they will receive blessing from the Lord and vindication from God our Savior.
