Short Bows

There is one possible “bow” portrayed at Jeffers.
Native American bows carried on horseback were not like the English long bow but were quite short and sometimes made of bone.
“The length of these bows is generally about three feet, and sometimes not more thasn two and a half” (Catlin 1973: 32).
