If your group's event or one you know about is missing, please email me. The cooperation of balloon groups helps immeasurably to make a more complete and informative central information site here.

SkyQuest is a New England region amateur radio project specializing in the balloon launch of expendable weather instrument packages which send telemetry on 2 meters.
We launched the "multimode" (CW and RTTY) telemetry SkyQuest 3 at the National Weather Service Boston Forecast Office open house on Sunday, May 21, 2000. The signals were received at least 220 miles away and lots of data came back and has been plotted. See all the launch photos, data graphs, and estimated track map at the SQ3 photo gallery.
Read more about SkyQuest (info here pertains to the old SQ2 controller) in the SkyQuest section, and see some nice color pictures of our May 1998 launch featured in the September 1998 issue of CQ VHF magazine.

Odds and ends:
The official theme music for HABLIC is
by the king of the blues guitar, Albert King, found on the Stax
(Fantasy) vinyl or compact disc entitled "Live Wire/Blues Power."
