The purpose of this organization is to provide socio-political and educational concerns. The organization has established the necessity to expose and stimulate the community to different cultural influences. Thereby, promoting the richness of all cultures to the community and its membership. The goal is to reach unity among all races, especially through our sisterhood. To create a bond that will last forever.


Multiculturalism

The overall membership of Lambda Tau Omega Sorority, Inc. reflects diversity; our sisters come from a myriad of ethnic, political and religious backgrounds.


Independence

Since the inception, Lambda Tau Omega Sorority, Inc. began her journey alone and has vowed that Lambda Tau Omega shall NEVER be affiliated with any fraternity. Lambda Tau Omega Sorority, Inc. shall remain independent, she will NEVER have fraternity brothers.

We are a sisterhood who understands that the antiquated spelling of the word "women" is not representative of our Sisterhood, because it embodies the word "men". And since We, Lambda Tau Omega Sorority, Inc., are a sisterhood of independent "womyn" thriving on innovation, we have dared to change the spelling of the word "women" to "WOMYN"!.    " Y " ?

Because....

We are highly intelligent and motivated womyn reaching for our goals and inspirations like no other womyn have dared.

We discredit boundaries or prejudices and depend on diversity and multiculturalism.

We are womyn who believe that education equals empowerment which in turn allows us to breakdown and do-away-with the highly held negative and false stereotypes of womyn.

We are womyn who are to be different and unique while maintaining our professionalism and admirable ways.

We are an exemplary of womyn who know that our Greek letters are not means by which we identify ourselves, but just a compliment to our personalities as individuals.

We Lambda Tau Omega Sorority, Inc., will always be an open sea of Enchanting opportunities for womyn!
