A guide to the staple diet of college students everywhere
What's the matter with milk these days?
Although it is true that one of the wonders of cereal is that
it can be eaten dry, milk is in fact the second part of cereal.
In the day of the cow, it was simple: There was milk. Today,
a trip to the refrigerated section of the grocery store can be
very frightening to a freshman-year college student. There is
2%, 1%, even non-fat milk.
Non-fat. How is that possible? It is not. Non-fat milk is
merely colored-water. It offers no flavor or filling and should
not be legally labeled as milk. 1% milk is acceptable for those
unusual persons with high-cholesterol. However, we still regard
2% milk fat as the only true milk that will give any cereal its
deserved justice.
