Since its inception, AMA has so far established eight Free Medical Camps in the far flung areas of Abbottabad, Haripur and Mansehra Districts. In these Medical Camps free medical advice and medicines worth hundreds of thousands of Rupees have been given to the poor patients.
AMA consists of a team of Abbottonians doctors from every speciality who along with the paramedics and qualified nurses, work collectively in the Free Medical Camps. Many senior members of AOBA also actively participate in these camps voluntarily. Vigorous planning is required to set up a Free Medical Camp. The venue of the camp is decided by extensive survey and a feasibility report is prepared which is then approved by the Executive Committee of AMA. A campaign is then started to collect medicines from various doctors, pharmaceutical companies, and donations in cash from the Abbottonians members and philanthropists. An advance party is sent at the venue of the camp a day before the due date of the camp, which sets the Pharmacy/OPD, and also makes the announcements regarding the camp. Serious patients who need further treatment are reffered to the major hospitals of Abbottabad.

Since early 1996, AMA has started
working in the field of Blood Donation. A Blood Donors' Directory has been
made from various MBBS classes of Ayub Medical College, Abbottabad. Soon
a mass screening campaign will be started in various educational institutions
and other departments to register as many blood donors as possible. The
aim will be to provide healthy blood (screened for various diseases e.g.
Hepatits, HIV) to the patients, specially those suffering from Thalassaemia,
a deadly disease in which children need blood at regular intervals, which
are usually less than a month.
