by a broken finger..

2001, playing the latter half of the season and winning the Best First
Year Player award.

From Newcastle West, County
Limerick, Ireland, and had never played Gaelic football until migrating
to Australia and joining Shamrocks in 2001, scoring 1 point. Member of the ladies 2001
Championship winning team. Now regarded as a celebrity by her family
back in Newcastle West.

Glenn Carpenter
 Played
in Shamrocks inaugural senior Championship in 1995 as a teenager, when
also named Shamrocks best & fairest minor. 1998 Queensland representative
goalkeeper. 1998 Shamrocks ladies team coach. Shamrocks club secretary
in 1998. Went to Co. Meath to work on his Irish accent in 1999 and won
a junior County Championship with Rathkenny. Returned to Shamrocks in
2000, member of the 2001 Championship team. Queensland ladies team coach for the 2000 Australasian
Games when beaten by 1 point in the semi final, and again coach
Queensland in 2001 qualifying for the final for the first time.. Played for Queensland against the touring Connaught
schools all-star team in 2001. The 2001 season was cut short by an
ankle injury.

Another member of the legendary Carpenter Gaelic football family. Debuted with Shamrocks in 1999, and in 2000 was
still the youngest player in the club, winning the Shamrocks Best &
Fairest Minor award (which he won again in 2001), and Most Improved Minor in Queensland. And boy can
he dance - second at the Queensland Irish dancing championships in
2000, and finalist in the Australian championships.
Shannon Casey
Debuted in 1999 and played again in 2000. Returned midway through 2001
and was a member of the 2001 Championship winning team.
Juanita Chaffey
Debuted for Shamrocks in 2000, and a member of the ladies 2001
Championship winning team. Most Improved Player award-winner in 2001.
Shamrocks committee in 2002.
John Collins
After touring the world, joined Shamrocks for the second half of the
2000 season, scoring 5 points in a handful of games. Played again in
2001 although the season was again interrupted by a world two.

Raymond Concar
From Co. Roscommon who was permanently living in Australia, before
being lured to Europe by a woman. Member of the Shamrocks 1995
Queensland Championship winning team. Shamrocks eighth-leading scorer in 1999 with 12 points.
Received media coverage in 1999 in the Roscommon Champion
newspaper. Returned to Shamrocks in 2002.
Sally Cooper
Debuted in 2001, and
finished as Shamrocks' seventh-leading scorer despite missing the
second half of the season having gone to Canada.
Brett Dalman
Played in 1998 and returned
in 2001, but his come back was unfortunately cut short by injury.
Luke Devitt
Debuted in 1999, winning the Reserves Championship with Shamrocks.
Played in goals for the seniors in 2000, winning the Senior
Championship. Named Queensland's most improved reserve player in 2000,
and Shamrocks most improved senior. Shamrocks award winner in 2000 for
'best rugby tackles', and again in 2001. Has lovely long blonde hair.
Angela Doyle
Queensland
and Australian touch football representative. Represented
Queensland at the Australasian Gaelic Games in Perth in 1999
her debut season, and selected in the Australasian all-stars.
Represented Queensland again in 2001 and was slected in the
Australasian team for the second time, and became the first
Queenslander to win the Australasian best and fairest award. Won the Queensland and Shamrocks Best New Player award
in 1999, then won the Queensland and Shamrocks Best & Fairest Player
award in 2000. Sixth-leading scorer for Shamrocks in 2000 with 2 goals
5 points from midfield. Member of the Australasian team in 2000 that
won the World Cup for the first time. Captain of the Shamrocks 2001
Championship winning team, and was sixth-leading scorer.
David Duguid
Debuted for Shamrocks in
2001, winning the reserves Best & Fairest award. Represented
Queensland at the 2001 Australasian Games in Melbourne. Father of Byron.

Gemma Dunn
Debuted in 2001 as Shamrocks
ninth-leading scorer, having played most positions. Member of the 2001
Queensland Championship winning team.
