15. Judge Thomas⁵ DENT (Peter⁴, James³, William², Roger¹) was born in Gisborough, Yorkshire, ENG 1630.⁽³⁵³⁾ Thomas died 28 MAR 1676 in St. Mary's Co., MD, at 45 years of age.⁽³⁵⁴⁾

He married Rebecca WILKINSON in St. Mary's Co., MD, 1659.⁽³⁵⁵⁾ Rebecca was born in Linhaven, VA 1633. Rebecca was the daughter of Rev. William WILKINSON and Naomi HUGHES. Rebecca died 20 AUG 1726 in Prince Georges Co., MD, at 93 years of age.

Thomas was listed as a member of the Anglican (Episcopalian) church.⁽³⁵⁶⁾ Thomas's occupation: Planter.⁽³⁵⁷⁾ Thomas's occupation: Justice of the Peace.⁽³⁵⁸⁾ Thomas immigrated. Destination: MD.⁽³⁵⁹⁾ Thomas's occupation: High Sheriff.⁽³⁶⁰⁾ He bought property in St. Mary's Co., MD, 1663.⁽³⁶¹⁾ Thomas patented 850 acres and called it Gisborough.

Thomas's will was probated in St. Mary's Co., MD, 21 APR 1676.⁽³⁶²⁾ Judge Thomas was active in the political scene in St. Mary's Co. throughout his life. In 1664 he served as the Surveyor General of the Maryland Colony.

Judge Thomas DENT and Rebecca WILKINSON had the following children:

25 vi. Peter DENT was born in Westbury Manor, St. Mary's, MD 1664.⁽³⁶⁶⁾ Peter died 1710 at 46 years of age.⁽³⁶⁷⁾ He married twice. He married Jane Pitman GRAY. He married Elizabeth BALLARD.
