He married twice. He married Chatherine POSTON in Trinity Parish, Charles, MD, 9 NOV 1769. Chatherine was born in Charles Co., MD 24 JUN 1755. Chatherine was the daughter of William POSTON and Priscilla. Chatherine died 4 JUN 1773 in Charles Co., MD, at 17 years of age. He married Martha BURCH in Trinity Parish, Charles, MD, 18 NOV 1774. Martha was born 1750. Martha died 14 JUL 1824 at 74 years of age.

Captain Hezekiah DENT and Martha BURCH had the following children:

113 ii. Hatch DENT was born in LA 5 FEB 1775. He married Jeanette MEULLION.

114 iii. Hezekiah DENT Jr. was born 20 MAY 1777. Hezekiah died 1809 at 32 years of age. He married Larena MILBURN in Charles Co., MD, 16 JUN 1803.

115 iv. John Chapman DENT was born 20 FEB 1780.

116 v. Orpha DENT was born 26 FEB 1782.

117 vi. Martha DENT was born 13 MAR 1788.

118 vii. Wilfred DENT was born 9 FEB 1790. His body was interred in LA.

119 viii. Ann DENT was born in Charles Co., MD 20 MAR 1792. Ann died 12 DEC 1877 at 85 years of age. Her body was interred in Dentsville, MD, Dent's Place. She married Thomas Owen BEAN 20 MAY 1819.
